Terms of Service

Effective October 13, 2026. These Terms replace all earlier versions.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Trading Decisions Lab (“TDL”, “we”, “us”). They cover this website, the Compass indicator, the Founding Beta and anything else we provide (together, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services. You must be at least 18 to use them.

1. What Compass is

Compass is a general-purpose charting indicator for TradingView. It marks rule-based setups with an entry, stop and target. Compass and everything on this site are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

• Nothing we provide is investment, trading, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security, futures contract or option.
• Compass is not customized to your finances or goals. We don’t manage, direct or see any account, and Compass does not place trades.
• You make every trading decision yourself and are responsible for it.
• TDL is not registered as an investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor or futures commission merchant.

2. Risk and backtested results

Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Futures are leveraged and you can lose more than your deposit; options can expire worthless. Unless clearly stated otherwise, every result on this site, including the backtest, statistics, chart examples and the account simulator, is hypothetical. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations, are prepared with the benefit of hindsight and do not reflect actual trading (see CFTC Rule 4.41 in the site footer). Past or simulated performance does not guarantee future results. Compass can give wrong, late or missing signals.

3. The Founding Beta

• Free. Beta access is free for 60 days. We don’t collect a card and nothing is charged. Access ends automatically; there is nothing to cancel.
• Applications. We review applications by hand and may approve, decline or waitlist any application at our discretion. Seats are limited (500 in Wave 1).
• One per person. The beta is once per person. Applications using duplicate, shared or newly created accounts, emails or usernames to restart or extend the beta may be declined, and access granted that way may be removed.
• Personal access. Access is granted to the TradingView username you submit. It is personal and may not be shared, transferred or resold.
• As-is and changing. The beta is a test. Features, signals, availability and the beta itself may change or end at any time, with or without notice.
• After the beta. We plan to offer Compass on the TradingView Marketplace at about $35 a month. Timing and price are plans, not promises, and depend on TradingView’s approval. Any purchase there is made with TradingView and is governed by TradingView’s terms and pricing at that time. You are never subscribed automatically.

4. Your license and acceptable use

While you have access, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use Compass on TradingView for your own trading research. You agree not to:

• share, resell, sublicense or redistribute Compass, your access, or its signals as a service to others;
• copy, reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to reproduce Compass’s logic, settings or code, or build a competing product from it;
• scrape the site, submit applications automatically, or interfere with the Services or their security;
• use the Services in violation of any law or of TradingView’s rules.

5. TradingView and other services

Compass runs on TradingView, an independent company. Your use of TradingView is governed by its own terms. TDL is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TradingView, any exchange, prop firm, bank or brokerage. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, data or fees, and access to Compass depends on TradingView continuing to support invite-only and Marketplace scripts.

6. Earlier TDL products

Subscriptions to TDL’s earlier indicator suites, bought through Whop, remain governed by the terms in effect when they were purchased and by Whop’s terms. Questions about them: TradingDecisionsLab@gmail.com.

7. Intellectual property and feedback

Compass, its code, this website, the Compass and TDL names and logos, and all content here belong to TDL or its licensors. If you send us feedback or ideas, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.

8. No warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or profitable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TDL and its owners, employees and agents are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services or any decision you make using them. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid TDL for the Services in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TDL and its owners, employees and agents from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services or your breach of these Terms.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access at any time if we believe you have broken these Terms, misused the Services or acted fraudulently, or if we stop offering the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections 1, 2 and 6 to 12 survive termination.

12. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which TDL is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and TDL each waive any right to a jury trial and to take part in a class action or class-wide arbitration.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will give notice on the site or by email. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept them.
