Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026. This policy replaces all earlier versions.
This policy explains what Trading Decisions Lab (“TDL”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website and the Compass Founding Beta, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
1. What we collect
When you apply for the beta:
- your email address and TradingView username;
- your confirmation that you understand how the beta works, which application button you used, and the beta wave;
- optional answers you choose to give after applying (what you trade, your experience, why you’re interested).
To keep the beta one per person: when you apply, our server creates two one-way codes, one from your network address (rounded to the network, not your exact address) and one from your browser type and language. We store only these codes, never your raw IP address or browser details, and use them only to spot repeat applications.
When you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to send.
Automatically: like every website, our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser and the pages requested) to run and secure the site. The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not set cookies of its own. The chart library is loaded from the jsDelivr content network, which receives your IP address to deliver it.
2. How we use it
- to review applications and add your TradingView username to Compass;
- to email you about your beta access: approval, setup steps, a reminder before it ends, and important changes;
- to email you about Compass’s launch only if you asked for launch updates (you can opt out any time);
- to prevent abuse, including repeat beta applications, and to keep the Services secure;
- to improve Compass from the feedback you give us;
- to comply with the law and enforce our Terms.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that work for us: Google (storing applications and sending email), Vercel (website hosting) and jsDelivr (delivering the chart library);
- TradingView, to the extent needed to grant your username access to Compass; TradingView handles that under its own privacy policy;
- Authorities or others when required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public;
- A buyer or successor if TDL is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets; this policy would continue to apply to your information.
If you were a customer of TDL’s earlier indicator suites, your purchase and billing data are held by Whop under Whop’s privacy policy.
4. How long we keep it
We keep beta application records for the beta and for up to 24 months after it ends, so we can apply the one-per-person rule and answer questions, and then delete them. Emails are kept as long as needed to help you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below).
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you email, by writing to TradingDecisionsLab@gmail.com. Every email we send also lets you opt out of non-essential messages. Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas or Oregon), you may have additional rights, including to know what we collect and to appeal a decision about your request. We will respond within the time the law requires, usually 45 days, may need to verify your identity first, and will not treat you differently for using your rights.
6. Security
We use encrypted connections, restricted access to application data, and one-way codes instead of raw technical data. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and regulators of a breach where the law requires.
7. Children
The Services are for adults 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has applied, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Where your data is processed
TDL is based in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, give notice on the site or by email.
